Istanbul Okan University is one of the most advanced universities in Turkey. The university was established in 1999 by the Okan Foundation for Culture, Education and Sports, with the aim of supporting students to become distinguished graduates in various disciplines, and preparing future scholars who are able to demonstrate their skills and experience at the theoretical and practical level.

Student activities at Istanbul Okan University
Social and cultural activities are an integral part of education at Istanbul Okan University, where seminars and conferences are organized at the university with the participation of specialists, and students are constantly encouraged to participate in social, cultural and sports activities. Through student clubs, regular trips to historical sites and tourist areas are organized through the Tourist Club.

Important notes for students wishing to enroll in the Professional Aviation major:
Students pay the costs of aviation training other than tuition fees every year. The expenses of aviation training amount to 52 thousand euros, these expenses over the four academic years. The student pays these expenses in installments from the second year until the end of the graduation year. Students will also undergo a full medical examination inside Istanbul, first-class medical examination for pilots. The university determines exclusively the name of the hospital that the student performs the medical examination, and the student must adhere to conducting this examination inside the hospital and on the basis of this medical report, it is determined whether the student is eligible to complete the registration in this specialty and start studying or not.
