President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized that the Turkish government will continue to protect its citizens from the effects of the Coruna virus.
The President announced this evening, Wednesday, several economic decisions in order to support the resilience of citizens and the Turkish economy.
The decisions taken by the President are:
Increasing the minimum pension to 1500 pounds
Provide cash support 1,000 TL to two million low-income families
- Increasing the resources transferred to aid and social solidarity institutions to 180 million liras
- 7 billion Turkish liras will be provided to the Foundation for Minimum Wages.
A regular follow-up program will be opened for our citizens over 80 years of age
32,000 new health workers will be employed.
Performance payments will be made to health care workers for a period of 3 months.
- A million rapid diagnostic kits will be available in a short time.
Guest houses in public institutions will be available to all health workers.
- KOSGEB payments will be postponed to SMEs until June 30.
- 6 million TL will be supported for companies that produce household antiseptics, protective clothing glasses and masks.
- Additional financing support will be provided to companies when necessary, without disrupting cash flow.
To meet working capital needs, loan support will continue.
- An additional credit line will be provided as much as the employees ’salaries.
- Credit card payments will be delayed until the end of June.
Healthcare workers will benefit from public transportation services free of charge.
