Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu has sent a strongly worded warning to companies that manufacture medical masks and keep them in their warehouse.
"You have 12 hours or we will confiscate your factories tomorrow," Soylu said, addressing the companies, according to the newspaper "Hyperlar" and translated by the New York Post.
He pointed out that there are companies that produced the masks and kept them in their warehouses and did not put them on the market, and plans to sell them abroad.
"If the companies do not put something inside their warehouse, we will have to confiscate their factories," he added.
The Turkish government banned the export of medical equipment, including masks, without special permission from the Ministry of Trade.
The prices of these products that citizens use to prevent corona virus have increased very significantly, and they have become a popular business on the black market.
