The International Relief and Development Authority "Ansar" launched the "Your chance at home is greater" initiative to prepare more than a thousand e-commerce pioneers in the Arab world, in partnership with "channels" for electronic commerce, within the framework of investing in the home quarantine period.
More than 12 thousand young men and women from the Arab world participated in it, along with Arabs residing in Europe, which was launched a few days ago with the aim of providing job opportunities, and a free online store will be provided for each trainee, to launch his own project, while providing professional tools for each of them, by providing sources of goods and services Shipping and delivery, and everything that a young person needs to get started with his online store project.
The trainees are trained on the mechanism of establishing a store, which was provided to them for free for a period of 3 months, within the framework of the initiative, that the training continue until the trainees can start their own income-generating projects and support their work in the e-commerce space that the world is heading to be of The most important and most effective solutions to overcome the problem of poverty and unemployment.
It is noteworthy that the volume of electronic commerce in the world amounted to about 3.8 trillion dollars in 2003, according to United Nations estimates, and the number has doubled to reach 6.8 trillion dollars at the end of 2004, and that about 80% of the volume of trade in the world is in the United States of America, 15 % In Western Europe, 5% in the rest of the world, most or about 4% of it is in Japan. And the volume of e-commerce between business institutions (Business to Business) is about 80% of the volume of e-commerce in the world. The value of trade between business enterprises in the European Union ranged between $ 185 billion and $ 200 billion in 2002, and e-commerce between business enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe reached about $ 4 billion in 2003. This trade has grown rapidly in Asia-Pacific region from about $ 120 billion in 2002 to about $ 300 billion by the end of 2003. In Latin America, the value of business deals between businesses online directly reached 6.5 billion in 2002 and rose to 12.5 billion dollars in 2003.
The percentage of Internet users who buy directly via the network was higher in the United States of America and the United Kingdom and Northern Western Europe during the period 2000-2001, as the percentage of network users with purchases on the network directly reached about 38%, while in Mexico the percentage was less than 0.6 %.
